Meet your trainer, Olivia Anderson
I am a former public school teacher with a passion for working with dogs and educating humans. As a lifelong dog lover, I’ve grown my skills and passion for training dogs as I raised our German Shepherd named Zorro. Our pack has grown with the addition of our Great Pyrenees mix named Suki, and I now live in Snohomish with my husband and daughter.
I’ve worked with trainers in the greater Seattle area across a wide array of training ideologies to find what was effective for both my dogs’ needs and for my comfort in training style. I’ve adapted the techniques that I’ve found most effective for both my dogs and those of my clients’, which features a balanced approach utilizing positive reinforcement and holding dogs accountable. My relationship with each dog I work with is unique to the dog themselves, as I recognize that each dog is different in what motivates them or what may make them insecure.
Over time, I’ve continued my professional dog training education by working with respected experts in the industry. I have completed dog training workshops with Pack Life LA and Cheri Wulff Lucas. I have experience in K9 scent work, including AKC scent work, NASDA, and Barn Hunt. Additionally, I have experience fostering dogs through the Dog Gone Seattle rescue.
